Northwest Maritime Center

The mission of the Northwest Maritime Center is to engage and educate people of all generations in traditional and contemporary maritime life, in a spirit of adventure and discovery. Our campus includes many spaces open to the public including:

FIRST FED COMMONS

This outdoor space in the heart of Port Townsend's downtown waterfront is a focal point year-round for community gatherings and maritime activities, from small-boat launchings to educational programs.

WOODEN BOAT CHANDLERY

Stop by the Chandlery to find our mission-related goods, nautical gifts, and outdoor gear from your favorite brands. Open daily from 10 AM–5 PM. Sales generated support NWMC programs.

BOATSHOP

Professionals and beginners alike carry out boat projects in our Boatshop through space rentals and NWMC workshops. Wander through the shop during open hours to admire the wooden boats and get inspired!
