Camp Beausite North West

Camp Beausite NW has provided residential camp services to individuals with disabilities for almost 24 years. It is more important to our campers than Christmas, Easter, and their birthdays all rolled into one. According to many parents, the day campers leave camp they start counting the days until their return. For the parents, it is often the only break they get the entire year. For the staff, counselors, and volunteers it is a place to give of themselves to others; a process from which they receive as much as they give. For our donors, it is an opportunity to support an effort that truly changes lives. Our campers range in age from 6-65+ and have a wide range of intellectual, developmental and/or medical disabilities. Our purpose is to provide educational, therapeutic, and recreational services for the campers, and respite for their caregivers. To accomplish this, every summer we hold four, week long, camp sessions for 20 campers at a time. Camp activities include arts and crafts, horseback riding, fishing, nature trail activities, talent shows, games, field trips, and much more. Rigorous attention is paid to camper safety, medical care and dietary needs. Staff, counselors, and volunteers are vital to camp operations and all are well trained to ensure they are fully versed in the needs of campers and have the skills needed to meet our high standards. In addition to our camp services in the summer, we rent out our facility to the public throughout the year. All proceeds go to help fund camp operations. The facility is ideal for weddings, conferences, family gathering, retreats, workshops, and more.
