    Administrative Assistant
    Full / Part-Time

    The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce is a business organization with members throughout Jefferson County. We promote the business and economic well-being of our diverse community to benefit enterprises, large and small through advocacy, services, education, business exposure and promotional opportunities.
    For this newly created role, we are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Associate to provide administrative and project management support to our Executive Team, including co-ordination of regular virtual and offsite, when again applicable, meetingsThe Chamber and all its programs have been undergoing changes due to the COVID-19 environment and we anticipate further opportunities because of this ongoing fluid situation.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
    • Proven track record of healthy communication and problem-solving abilities
    • This position coordinates the schedule of a busy Executive Director as well as facilities meeting and office space (when COVID restrictions allow)
    • Zoom meeting capabilities
    • Calendar and meeting management experience
    • Effective and timely handling of scheduling, database, and task management
    • Proficient in creating, implementing and maintaining filing systems with integrity and clarity
    • Excellent compositional skills for writing letters, emails, agendas, and reports
    • Experience handling confidential information and managing complex situations
    • Organize and manage volunteers within a program
    • Well-versed in organizing and facilitating retreats, events, and gifts
    • Maintain database and groups with updated contact info
    • Maintain working printers, technology, and office supplies through vendors
    • Maintain updated standard operating procedures for all tasks
    Principal Accountabilities
    • Strong planning and organizing skills, ability to multi-task
    • Highly efficient in time management and able to prioritize initiatives.
    • Self-starter and ability to operate in self driven capacity, working to execute tasks and resolve issues in a timely manner and at same time work in a collaborative team environment.
    • Adept at problem solving with a solutions focused approach to addressing and resolving complex problems
    • Strong communication skills plus a positive attitude with a customer service-oriented disposition
    • Required: Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word (intermediate to advanced level); Adobe Acrobat
    • CRM experience desirable
    • Publishing / Editing & Proofreading a plus
    • Adobe Graphics experience a plus
    • Excel: 1+ year (Required)
    • Outlook: 2+ years (Preferred)
    • Administrative: 3 +years (Required)
    • Microsoft Office: 2+ years (Required)
    • Personal Assistant: 2 years (a plus)
    • Ability to learn new software: (Preferred)
    • Tourism program experience (a plus)
    • Social Media expertise a plus

    This position is full time, 40 hours per week M-F with rare occasional evenings and/or weekend assignments however can be part time to start and grow into a larger role.
