Soundcheck 2022 is a locally-focused multidisciplinary arts festival that starts with the Uptown Street Fair on August 20th and runs through the Thursday night before THING festival, August 25. It is a celebration aimed at luring people to have some fun in our community before the big event at Fort Worden, and also something wholly ours, a chance to show off our town and our artists to a new crowd. Folks from organizations like PT Main Street and KPTZ along with other local art enthusiasts are pitching in to put on the festival, and the event will be funded in part by grants to promote the Port Townsend Creative District.
